    0:35:07 Plugin for affiliate marketing
    0:36:48 How to install MonsterInsights for affiliate marketing
    0:41:18 Thank You!

    To begin this guide we will be setting up the site using BlueHost who we have negotiated a coupon that you can use by clicking the link below:

    https://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/bluehost/

    Once you've installed the site on BlueHost if it wasn't set up with the SSL certificate you can update the URL using the Really Simple SSL plugin from the WordPress.org repository here:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/

    The plugin will work with your SSL certificate to ensure anyone visiting the site will have the padlock icon next to your URL which confirms the site is secure and using https.

    For setting up this site we will be using the Astra theme found here:

    https://wordpress.org/themes/astra/

    As well as the Beaver Builder page builder to help customize it. If you use a different theme then you may have different customization options available to you. Design the site how you would like it to display for your visitors, with the Astra theme and Beaver Builder you can create almost any design you're looking to add to your site.

    Once your design is how you want it you'll want to look into adding the right keywords to have your posts rank on Google's search. If you're new to keyword research, we have a video guiding you on the steps to do keyword research here:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mhk76ZvccK8

    The keywords will also give you ideas for what content to write about for your site to keep giving value to your site's visitors. To begin getting revenue from your content you will want to sign up for affiliate programs. Some places to start looking for these programs are searching for the brands you use and add an affiliate program to your search. There are also sites such as ShareASale, cj.com, and Click Bank.

    For this tutorial we'll be using the Amazon Associates affiliate program here:

    https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/

    Once you sign up to be a part of the affiliate program we recommend activating your Associates SiteStripe to give you an easy ability to get the approved images and links to use for Amazon.

    Reminder: Do not cloak Amazon Affiliate links due to their current limitations for affiliates.

    To make displaying Amazon content easier, we would recommend taking a look at the AAWP plugin that uses Amazon's own API to pull in product information without having any trouble with the affiliate agreement.

    On Page SEO Tutorial for Beginners: 7 Simple Tips That Get More Traffic (2020)

    On Page SEO Tutorial for Beginners: 7 Simple Tips That Get More Traffic (2020)

    In this video, we'll guide you through how to do on-page SEO to help you get more traffic to your site. This means making sure the content on your site is optimized for the keywords that you want to rank for in Google.

    This video brought to you by WPForms, take a look at their site here:
    =================================
    https://wpforms.com/
    =================================

    For the discount, use our code: WPBVIP

    To help with on-page SEO we would recommend installing the Yoast SEO plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/

    You will want to look at setting up the on-page SEO after the post was written when you start out. After you select the article you want to modify, start by ensuring the keyword you're wanting to rank for is in your title when you can as well as for the post's permalink.

    You also want the keyword in the first paragraph of your content for it to appear in the snippet and lets the reader and Google know what to look for in the article. The keyword can be adjusted throughout the article if there is more than one way to spell it.

    If you have a similar article or an article that it could be confused for you will want to link back to that article on your site for the users who were looking for your additional content to stay on your site. These links back to your site for similar articles gives your visitors more reasons to go through your site and reduces your bounce rate that will be an ongoing process as you add them to your older articles.

    If your keyword can fit into your h2 or other title tags add them there. Optimizing your images is also useful for Google and your visually impaired users. Start by naming the file itself to a description of the image itself, add alt text describing the image, and ensure the image is optimized for being used on the web.

    With those taken care of, Yoast and other SEO plugins add an area to the bottom of your post where you can modify what is being sent to search engines. One being the meta description which shows up in search engines and this can sometimes be overwritten.

    How to Create a Separate Page for Blog Posts in WordPress

    How to Create a Separate Page for Blog Posts in WordPress

    Are you wanting to set up a separate page for blog posts on your WordPress site? WordPress normally will list your posts on the homepage of your site but not all sites want to list their posts on the first page their visitors would see. In this article, we will show you how to easily create a separate page for blog posts in WordPress.

    This video brought to you by WPForms, the most beginner friendly WordPress form plugin, take a look at their site here:

    =================================
    https://wpforms.com/wpbeginner
    =================================

    For our discount visit: https://WPForms.com/wpbeginner

    Start by ensuring you have a page you would like as your home page published on your site as well as a page, normally empty, that would be replaced by a list of your most recent posts.

    Next, you will want to go under Settings, Reading and change the homepage display settings to a Static page. For the Homepage you would set the page you would want to appear when someone goes directly to your URL. Set the Posts page to where you would like your blog posts to appear there. Not all themes have the same settings so if you do not see this, you would want to check under Appearance, Customize.

    With the page changes set, you would want to add them to your menu as they are not automatically added to your menu. Under Appearance, Menus you should see the two pages you set have text next to them noting which one is the posts page and which one is the front page.

    Depending on your theme, if you edit the page there is a page template for specifically the home page you can set when editing the page itself. Other themes you would want to take a look under Appearance, Customize for custom settings. If neither of these are options, we would recommend taking a look at Beaver Builder to customize your site's display.

    We have our referral link below you can use to receive any discounts we have negotiated with them as an affiliate partner so they are automatically applied to your purchase.

    How To Do Keyword Research for Your Website and SEO

    How To Do Keyword Research for Your Website and SEO

    In this guide, we will teach you how to do keyword research. By keywords, we mean the words that people use to try to find your content when using Google or another search engine. If you're looking to improve your site's rankings, follow this keyword research guide.

    This video brought to you by OptinMonster, take a look at their site here:
    =================================
    https://optinmonster.com/
    =================================

    For the discount, use our code: WPBVIP

    To start, there are four main keyword intents to take into account.

    Navigational are for brand names that are well known such as Netflix or Facebook you will search for those names and unless you are a large brand you won't have to think about that.

    Transactional keywords are for when people want to purchase something such as a model number when you want to find a specific product and go to a page to purchase it.

    Informational keywords are for helping users answer or fix a problem and this is a majority of keywords which can help people get to your site and use your solution.

    Investigational is for finding products or services that would be the tools for what they're wanting. These keywords tend to have a modifier such as best or review as that helps them decide what fills their needs.

    Start by brainstorming what you want to write about, you know what you're writing about best and you've likely forgotten the basics that people may ask. That is why keyword research is important.

    The first method we're using is an extension called keywords everywhere: https://keywordseverywhere.com/

    This will add an identifier of the volume of searches and related keywords when you search for something on Google. This will help you find what users are looking for and it gives you the option to export the content and group it for future articles.

    Second, we recommend answer the public: https://answerthepublic.com

    This will bring in related keywords and questions when you search for a specific keyword. It will list the entire questions and help you sort through different related searches and questions.

    Third, we recommend the paid tools SEMRush: https://www.semrush.com/

    and Ahrefs: https://ahrefs.com/

    Both of these are paid but have a free trial or refund option. When you enter your seed keyword and search it will bring more specific and sortable information about the keyword that the free alternatives do not offer.

    How to Add Header and Footer Code in WordPress (the Easy Way)

    How to Add Header and Footer Code in WordPress (the Easy Way)

    Are you looking to add header or footer code to your WordPress website? One method would be to go into your theme's files to edit the PHP yourself which can be daunting for new users. In this video, we will show you how to insert header and footer code in WordPress the easy way.

    For this video we will be using the Insert Headers and Footers plugin that WPBeginner maintains found here:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/

    With the plugin installed and active, you can go under your Settings, Insert Headers and footers section in your admin area to see the two text areas where you can insert code. The top section is for code that should be in the head of your site while the bottom is for placing code above the end /body tag.

    The plugin allows you to make this change and if you update your theme the code modification will stay rather than being overwritten.

    Without the plugin, you would manually need to go under Appearance, Theme Editor and choose the files that you want to add the code to. When adding code using this method you will lose any modifications if you update your theme.

    Summary of this tutorial:

    Google AMP is designed for improving the mobile experience for your site by showing a stripped down version of your site. There are pros and cons for setting this up for your site but it would depend on personal preference for if you should add it.

    For installing the AMP plugin go under Plugins, Add New and find the AMP plugin.

    Under Appearance, AMP you will be able to customize the look of your site for when users view it on mobile.

    There are multiple customization options including colors and logos for the new reduced page of your site for mobile.

    Once you have it designed how you would like, ensure you save your changes.

    Should you want to preview the AMP page from your computer you would go to the post and add /amp to the end of the url.

    Using the Yoast SEO plugin you are able to customize the design, colors, and other options for your AMP pages.
